Taco Sauce (Salsa)

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups tomatoes, raw or canned
  • ½ cup onion
  • 2 jalapeno peppers, raw or canned
  • 1 green bell pepper
  • ¼ cup vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 bay leaf

Directions:

  1. If using raw tomatoes, remove skin.
  2. Chop tomatoes, onion, and peppers, or blend altogether in blender.
  3. Add remaining ingredients and cook until desired consistency – approximately ½ hour.
  4. Remove bay leaf.
  5. Store in the refrigerator.
